Cake By Kaity has reacted to Sweet Treats By Ashley losing tens of thousands of followers.
I noticed that Ashley has lost more than 25,000 followers after an old repost resurfaced online. People quickly shared screenshots of a post from October 2024, and I can see why they interpreted it as her supporting Donald.
Ashley has never publicly confirmed her beliefs, but that hasn’t stopped people from speculating. The backlash went viral quickly, especially because she’d been growing at an incredible rate, reaching over 762,000 followers and even overtaking Kaity.
By Monday, her follower count had reportedly fallen to around 739,900. It really shows how quickly things can change online, especially when people believe a creator’s values don’t align with their own.
Now Kaity has reacted. Under a post about the situation, she simply commented, “Wow.”
When I saw that, I immediately knew people were going to have opinions. It comes so soon after their recent feud, so I can understand why some people think it was a dig at Ashley. At the same time, it is only one word, so I also think there’s a chance people are reading too much into it.
