Fruity Pebbles has hilariously entered the Cake By Kaity and Sweet Treats by Ashley drama, and it honestly just made it funnier.
I got so surprised when Kaity called out Ashley for posting her Fruity Pebbles cake pop recipe, saying her virtual recipe book was copyrighted and giving Ashley 24 hours to respond.
Ashley came back with major receipts, saying she wasn’t given a full 24 hours and never bought Kaity’s cookbook, so she didn’t know the recipe belonged to her.
That is when I started questioning Kaity’s version.
Kaity later apologized and admitted she handled it poorly. She said she saw the recipe caption, thought it came from her book, and reacted before talking it out.
She also admitted that people corrected her on copyright. A recipe book can be copyrighted as a full collection, but individual recipes are different.
Now Fruity Pebbles has posted a Fruity Pebbles cereal cake pop recipe on its official website.
So while everyone was arguing over who owned the idea, the actual cereal brand stepped in with its own version.
The recipe uses Fruity Pebbles cereal, vanilla cake mix, frosting, and white chocolate melts, which is basically the same cake pop concept everyone was debating.
To me, Fruity Pebbles saw the drama and decided to make it into a way to promote the brand.
Before you go, I wanna know, was Fruity Pebbles being shady?
