Blake Lively’s team is desperately trying to stop the rumours that she paid for her Met Gala invite.
According to rumours, Blake wasn’t invited to the event this year, so she allegedly paid over 100,000 dollars just to get an invitation. Some people are pointing out that her name was missing from the official guest lists, making her surprise appearance look like a last-minute move.
But her team is not standing by and letting the rumour go around. One source said, “Blake’s team is telling the press that she didn’t pay to get in. She had a brand deal and got in that way, fair and square. And any brand would want the publicity of her first post-Baldoni red carpet to be in one of their dresses.”
This came not long after she settled with Justin Baldoni. Because of the timing, fans are calling the move tone-deaf and feel she is just trying to save her image in the middle of all the backlash.
While some insiders claim she was always invited by Anna Wintour, others are not so sure. Many people feel she is doing her best to make it seem like everything is normal, but everyone is still unsure about whether or not she paid for the invite.
