The Lara Croft Amazon show has been ‘paused indefinitely’ after Sophie Turner had an accident on the set of the show.
The production for the show is now in a state of total confusion after Sophie had to stop filming. Sophie was working on the project at Shepperton Studios in the UK when she had to stop due to an issue with her back.
The project has a budget of 100 million pounds, and everything has been put on hold for at least 1 month while Sophie rests. Some people working on the set are worried that the break could actually last for up to 6 months.
Sophie started working on the project in January and has been working very long hours to make the action scenes look real. She first noticed she had a back problem during her training last year, and the long days of filming made it worse.
A source said, “Sophie has been throwing herself into the role, but the heavy physical work of being Lara Croft has meant she has moved her frame too far.” There is a lot of stress because those in charge believe it would be very difficult to replace Sophie with someone else. This is because they have already filmed so much of the story.
The situation seems very serious for the future of the show. One source said, “They don’t know when they can resume filming. Some even think the whole thing could get cancelled. It’s a disaster. Too much money is being lost.”
Before you go, I wanna know, do you think they should wait for Sophie to get better or find someone new for the role?
