Rochelle has finally spoken out about being badly booed after winning Big Brother.
Despite winning the £100,000 prize, things quickly turned awkward when the audience started booing as she sat down with AJ and Will. The noise was so loud that the presenters struggled to hear her, while some chanted that Twinks should have won and called for a recount.
What stood out to me was that Rochelle still tried to answer the questions. When asked whether the experience had changed her, she said: “I think I’m gonna be more tolerant. I just appreciate everything that I’ve got. Just everything. I miss my family. I really appreciate my family more.”
I can understand viewers having their own favourite, but I don’t think Rochelle should have been drowned out during the moment she was meant to celebrate.
One source said: “Rochelle was really upset by the boos, especially after she’d just won Big Brother. She knew not everyone liked her, but she wasn’t expecting such a hostile reaction during her winner’s interview. She tried to stay composed because she didn’t want to let the audience ruin what should have been a happy moment. She’s trying to focus on the positives and enjoy her win.”
