Kim Kardashian has responded after fans criticised Skims’ $150 advent calendar and what they’re actually getting inside.
The 2026 version is an accessory calendar, but customers haven’t been impressed with the selection. And when you see what’s included, I can understand why people are questioning the price.
Last year’s Skims calendar cost over $500. This time, it’s around $150, with the brand suggesting each item is worth at least $12.
People are getting keychains, hair ties, scrunchies, bobby pins, hair clips, a squishy, a comb and a mirror. That’s a lot of small accessories, but there isn’t much variety, and I can see why some customers expected more for that price.
I actually think adding some more things would’ve made the calendar feel like a much better deal. The issue isn’t necessarily that these items are useless; it’s whether this selection feels worth paying $150 for.
Kim has now joined the conversation herself. Underneath a post about the calendar, she commented, “I think it’s great value”.
Although Kim is saying this, I can’t see this encouraging anyone to buy it. It still seems super overpriced for what it is.
