Lewis Hamilton has finally addressed the claims that his relationship with Charles Leclerc is completely broken.
The rumours have been circulating among F1 fans, with suggestions that Lewis hasn’t been welcomed by everyone at Ferrari and that things between him and Charles aren’t as friendly as they might seem.
Obviously, they’re teammates, so any tension could make things awkward, especially when they’re both competing for the same team. But I wouldn’t take these claims as fact when we don’t know what’s actually happening behind the scenes. Teammates don’t have to be best friends, either.
Still, the rumours have raised questions about whether there’s any real issue between them, and Lewis has now made his feelings about Charles pretty clear.
Underneath a post discussing the claims, he simply wrote, “I like Charles”.
I actually think that’s quite a direct response. Lewis didn’t get drawn into a long back-and-forth or address every rumour individually. He just made it clear that he likes Charles. However, that doesn’t tell us everything about the atmosphere inside Ferrari.
