Malia Baker has spoken out on whether or not she shaded Kylie and Malachi in her new interview.
When she was asked what song she’d sing with Brandy, Kylie and Rita Ora, she chose “The Boy Is Mine.” Honestly, I can understand why people thought it was a dig because, with everything that’s happened, it looked like a pretty strange choice.
Now Malia has responded herself.
She commented underneath the clip, saying, “wasn’t shade”.
I think Malia probably realised afterwards how people were always going to interpret it because of everything that’s happened between the three of them.
Malia and Kylie were once incredibly close while filming The Rise of Red. Kylie even called Malia one of her favourite people and revealed she pushed for her to be cast as Chloe. But things started changing during the Worlds Collide tour, when Kylie and Malachi were constantly seen together, and fans became convinced they were dating.
Then Malia’s sister posted a photo of Malia and Malachi holding hands at a holiday market. Not long after, Kylie unfollowed both of them, and fans became even more convinced something had happened behind the scenes.
