VidCon is completely empty, and nobody wants to pay to meet the stars there.
Videos show huge rooms with hardly anyone walking around, and fans feel so bad for the influencers who went.
It’s quite sad to see the event look like a ghost town, especially since many influencers expected big things from it this year.
A lot of people feel that the event is just too expensive now. Tickets cost a massive amount of money, and many feel the guests this year are not even that famous. On top of that, the World Cup is happening right now, so thousands of fans have completely forgotten about the convention.
The people who did go are saying the whole weekend has been a total mess. On the very first day, attendees were stuck waiting outside for an hour just to get through the doors. Fans heavily disliked the new layout of the building and said the space felt completely unorganised.
To make things worse, there are no professional photographers at the meet and greets this year. Instead, a staff member just uses a mobile phone to take the pictures under bad lighting.
Many feel the event has been going downhill for years and is not what it used to be, which could also explain why barely anyone went.
