Rihanna has reacted to Lionel Richie falling ill on stage, and she’s really worried.
Lionel was forced to end his opening night performance in Minnesota after experiencing sudden dizziness.
During his set, Lionel had to take a seat while performing his song “Dancing on the Ceiling”. It must have been so scary for the audience to witness him struggling like that in real-time.
Despite being clearly unwell, he carried on and performed one more song at the piano before heading offstage for what was supposed to be a short break.
Sadly, he never returned. Roughly 40 minutes later, his saxophonist had to tell the packed crowd that Lionel would not be able to continue the show because he was unwell. He was even taken to the hospital afterwards as a precaution.
Now, his upcoming Friday show in Chicago and Saturday show in Columbus have both been postponed. Doctors have officially advised Lionel to rest up and focus completely on his well-being before getting back on the road.
His team shared that he is absolutely heartbroken about having to pause the tour.
Now Rihanna has spoken out about this and left a comment that said, “we’re all praying for you”.
