The cast of Gen V are not happy about the show being cancelled.
First up, Jaz Sinclair said: “There’s so much I wanna (and will) say, but for today I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I’m so happy you’re here and I’m so grateful for this incredible experience”.
Next, Maddie Phillips said: “I’ll never get over this”.
Next, Lizze Broadway said: “life will never be the same again”.
And finally, during an interview, Eric Kripke said: “I did not cancel the show. One, I don’t have the power to do that. Two, I was fighting to keep the show, almost more than anybody else on Earth. So I’m as bummed as everybody else out there.”
Gen V has been cancelled after just two seasons and fans are absolutely devastated.
Despite getting really good reviews from both fans and critics, the spin-off The Boys has been ended. The story followed a group of young superheroes at a special university who were all trying to join the top hero team.
The show featured a great cast, including Jaz Sinclair and the late Chance Perdomo. Both seasons are currently available to stream on Amazon Prime Video, but they have not said why they’re ending it early.
Before the cancellation, the co-creator Eric Kripke mentioned that they actually had a big plan for a third season. He said, “We have a plan for Gen V season three, and we’re psyched about it, but we need enough viewers to watch season two to justify season three”.
It seems that even though people liked the show, the viewing numbers for the second season might not have been high enough for Amazon to keep it going. This has left many fans upset because they wanted to see how the story ended.
Fans are now calling for other platforms to save the show, but right now, it looks like the journey is over. It is always sad when a show with so much potential gets ended early.
Before you go, I wanna know, do you think someone will save it?
