Anthony Fantano has ended contact with Halsey after she called out his review of her album.
Anthony gave her TGI album a one out of 10 review and slammed it for having major main character syndrome.
The record was written while Halsey was dealing with the big C, so fans felt the harsh score was just plain mean and biased.
The drama started up again when Anthony posted a shady comment saying people were more into his review than the actual album. Halsey spotted the dig and didn’t hold back at all.
Halsey said, “I’m certain my least memorable song will be remembered more fondly and for more time than anything you ever do with your life will be. Everything you say is more “whiny” and “edgy” than I was at any point on that album. But at least I had the excuse of going through chemo.”
She called him unkind and said it’s wild to call it “main character syndrome” when an artist is literally just writing an album about her own life.
Now Anthony has addressed this and replied with a comment that said, “I’m sorry, but I’m tired of pretending like the album was good”.
After that, he called her response silly and said he’s not taking anything back. He then stopped replying to Halsey, meaning that he doesn’t want to engage in this anymore.
Before you go, I wanna know, do you think Fantano is in the wrong here?
