Rihanna has reacted to Lizzo crying on TikTok over her new album flopping.
This started after a fan begged Lizzo to push the album harder and start promoting it more.
Lizzo answered, “Okay, I promoted my album and people on the internet clowned me for it, so I don’t know what to do.”
Then she added that she promoted it “super hard,” but said she was upset that people called her “a desperate flop.” for doing so.
Lizzo’s new album has already had a rough start. A source said it sold 2,649 units in its first week and 650 in its second week.
So this is not just Lizzo being dramatic online. She’s trying to sell her music while feeling like her every move gets mocked.
Now Rihanna has stepped in and left a comment under the famous video and said, “don’t ever let them make you give up.”
Rihanna knows how hard the music industry can be, and seeing someone as big as Rihanna supporting Lizzo will obviously make her feel a lot better about things.
Personally, I think Lizzo is doing a great job, and I think people need to stop being so mean to her. If people clown her when she promotes, and then clown her when she looks tired, she cannot win either way. Hopefully, now, people will learn from this and leave her alone.
