Trader Joe’s is experiencing absolute chaos as shoppers rush to get their hands on the new tote bag.
Dozens of people stood outside a branch in Long Island at 8 AM just waiting for the doors to open. But what happened inside is even crazier, and it’s honestly so embarrassing.
It’s all because these small canvas bags have somehow become a massive status symbol on social media, and people are completely losing their minds over them.
Personally, I think the way people are acting over a tiny grocery bag is seriously concerning; I can’t really even believe it.
Videos are going around online showing grown adults shoving each other and being incredibly aggressive just to grab a bag.
The behaviour in the crowds is wild, with people grabbing as many as they can fit in their arms and shoving people out of the way to get them.
Many of these greedy shoppers are trying to get multiple bags so they can resell them online for five times the original price.
The bags became a trend back in March 2024, and this latest drop has made the frenzy even worse. Right now, they’re keeping the stock low to increase hype, so those who still want one will struggle to get one.
