David Beckham is embarrassed after Romeo Beckham was pulled over by officers.
Romeo was stopped in Westminster after an officer said he saw him looking down at a phone while waiting at traffic lights in his Porsche. The officer said Romeo appeared to be scrolling near the steering wheel.
That already looked bad, but it got worse because the case ended up with further action being taken against him. Romeo did not respond to the chance to pay a fine and take a driver awareness course, so the whole thing became more public than it needed to be.
Romeo was later found guilty of not being in proper control of his vehicle. He was fined £440, given three penalty points, and also had to pay additional costs.
But the awkward part is how this reflects on David. One source said, “David is ashamed and embarrassed. He likes to think of himself as upper-class and a respected person. For his son to behave like this so publicly puts him in a bad light. David loves to be seen as perfect, and this shatters that image.”
Personally, I think David being embarrassed makes sense. Romeo is grown, but the Beckham name is built on looking polished. So when one public mistake happens, it does not just make Romeo look careless. It makes the whole family look messy again.
