Toni Laites has reacted to being super mean, and I’m very disappointed with her response
Toni is facing backlash after making a very mean comment about a Love Island newcomer on a podcast.
Toni said, “George is a jump scare”. She also added that she would be mad if she saw him walk in.
Shakira and Yasmin laughed in surprise as the moment happened, but Shakira chimed in by adding: “No, let him cook.”
Making comments about appearance like this was completely uncalled for, and I really don’t know why she’d do that. I feel really bad for George because that’s sure to affect his self-esteem when he finally hears about this.
I think she should have kept her thoughts to herself. Many fans believe she needs media training because comments like this are not acceptable.
Toni later decided to step in and left a comment under a post about it and said: “I’m sorry, I was just trying to be real, but I understand.”
A lot of people feel this response isn’t enough to make up for the situation. It’s good she’s saying sorry, but it still feels like she’s trying to justify it, and that’s not right.
Shakira and Yasmin should have said something on the podcast, and people aren’t happy with them either.
